Grilled Ribeye Steaks with Mushroom Cream Sauce

This was my first time doing a mushroom cream sauce and I must say. It was absolutely delicious and I highly recommended this recipe. Above all, ribeye is such a great cut of meat, you can also do this with other cuts of steak.

Length of time from start to finish: 40 min
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients:
  • 2 8oz ribeye steaks
  • Seasoning
  • Salt, pepper and garlic
Mushroom cream Sauce ingredients:
  • 8oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions:

-Preheat your grill to 350 degrees. Season up the steaks with salt pepper garlic, now sear them directly over the heat flipping every 3 min until they reach an internal temperature of 115 degrees. While resting they will be a perfect medium rare.

-Once the steaks are resting, let’s make the mushroom cream sauce. Over medium heat, preheat your skillet, add the mushrooms first with nothing in the pan, add them dry, after they sweat out and become tender. Add the butter, once the butter is dissolved, add soy sauce, and the herbs.

-After 1 or so minutes add the heavy cream. Leave the the skillet over the heat for 10 min, or until the sauce is nicely reduced. Now slice up your steaks and top then with the sauce.

I recommend a meat thermometer for this cook.
