Surf N Turf Fajitas Recipe

This is a really easy and delicious fajita recipe. I originally thought that fajitas were complicated, not one bit!

Length of time from start to finish: 45 min

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 20 large shrimp
  • 2 lbs flap meat
  • 4 bell peppers
  • 2 medium sweet onion
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 lime

Shrimp Seasoning

  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper

Flap Meat Seasoning

  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions:

-Start off by seasoning your shrimp, ( I had mine cleaned and deveined) once they are seasoned, place them in the refrigerator.

-Then slice the flap meat about 1/4 inch slices, then season it and set aside. After prep your veggies, slicing the bell peppers into 1/4 inch strips as best as you can. The onions cut them in half first, then into 1/4 inch moons. Don’t forget to remove all the seeds and veins from the peppers, after place in a bowl and add 1 tbsp cooking oil and season with salt.
-Preheat your pan or griddle to medium high heat and adding 1 tbsp cooking oil, cook your steak first, cook it to your preferred donees, I cooked it about 3 min per side to get a nice crust. After you flip your steak once add your veggies and cook about 5 min. Then your shrimp are last as they cook the fastest. I cooked mine for 4 min total.

I cooked everything on my griddle, I had plenty of room. If you do this on a pan, you might want to remove everything as is finished cooking. I served mine on a preheated small cast iron pan, I placed the veggies as the base and topped it with the shrimp and beef. Then I squeezed some lime juice all over it. You can eat it just like that or serve it on a soft flour tortilla.
