Looking for a quick and easy meal? these 1/4 lb, fully loaded hotdogs will leave you wanting more! Loaded with tons of cheese, jalapeños for that spicy bite, and sweet red onion.
Ingredients:
- 4 1/4 LB beef hotdogs
- 1 small red onion
- 1 large jalapeño
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp avocado oil ( sub any cooking oil)
- 1 tsp salt and black pepper
- 4 hotdog buns
- Mayo for the buns
Instructions
-You want to prep your veggies first, slice one small red onion and 1 large jalapeño as thin as you can.
-Next, you can score your hotdogs slightly ( this is optional) cook your hotdogs at 350 degrees about 4 min per side or until nice and crispy.
Remove hotdogs and place tin foil over them to keep warm.
-Next, add 1 tbsp avocado oil to a pan and add your red onion and jalapeños, season with salt and black pepper, sauté to your liking. While the veggies are getting nice and soft, toast your buns, about 30 sec per side, or more depending on how hot your grill is.
-Once the buns come off let cool for 1 min then add mayo, your hotdog and the veggies, on the same pan that the veggies were in.
-Add 1 cup of cheese and consistently stir until fully melted. This goes very quick, then add to your hot hogs.
You can add ketchup and mustard if you like. Pair them with roasted corn! You won’t regret it!
