Hoisin Teriyaki Pork Belly Burnt Ends

These sweet and tender pork belly bites are just so delicious, they take some time to make but are well worth it.

Length of time from start to finish: 5 hours
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients:
  • 1 2.5 lb pork belly
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
Seasoning:
  • Your favorite bbq rub
  • Garnish
  • Green onion
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions:

-Preheat your grill to 275 degrees. Now prep the pork belly!

You can leave it whole or cut it up into cubes. Season it with your favorite bbq rub, place it in the smoker for 2.5 hours. After adding them to an aluminum tray, add 1/4 cup hoisin and 1/4 teriyaki sauce, cover the tray with foil, place them back on the smoker for an additional 1.5 hours.

-Once that time passes to see how tender they are, poke them with a toothpick. If they don’t feel like butter, leave for an additional 30 min.

-Once they are tender enough remove them from the grill and uncover them, once again coat in teriyaki and hoisin sauce. Place back on smoker for 20 min uncovered and leave them on the tray. This will make the sauce set, remove once they are done and garnish with green onion and sesame seeds.

Serve along white rice or your favorite veggies.
