Sweet and Spicy Chicken Lollipops

Ingredients:

  • 12 drumsticks
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika (sub regular paprika)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp potato starch (sub corn starch)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Sauce ingredients

  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup agave syrup
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 wing sauce

Ingredients

-Prep your chicken drumsticks by cutting right under the bottom of the drumstick where the meat ends with a sharp knife, use a paper towel to pull the skin up and over the knuckle, season your chicken with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and corn starch.

-Add cooking oil and coat the chicken well

-Preheat your grill at 350 degrees and place your chicken opposite of the heat, create 2 cooking zones on your grill. Cook your chicken until 165 internal temperature. When this happens, sear your chicken for about 15 seconds per side to give it a nice char, then toss in that delicious sauce.

-Any other notes you want to add: make your sauce while your chicken has been cooking, combine all ingredients and simmer on low for 10 min. I served the chicken along with size carrots and celery with ranch. These lollipops fly off the table,  make plenty!
