Lemon Pepper Grilled Lobster Tails with Garlic Herb Butter

Ingredients
  

  • - 4 lobster tails 6-8 ounces each
  • - 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • - 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • - ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • - ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • - 8 oz unsalted butter softened
  • - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • - 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • - ½ teaspoon kosher salt for butter
  • - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • - 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • - Lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Butterfly lobster tails by cutting through top shell and lifting meat onto shell surface.
  2. Brush tails with olive oil and season with lemon pepper blend, salt, and garlic powder.
  3. Prepare compound butter by mixing softened butter with herbs, garlic, lemon juice, and seasonings.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (400°F) and oil the grates.
  5. Grill tails meat-side down for 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook 4-6 minutes more, basting with butter.
  6. Remove when internal temperature reaches 140°F. Rest 2-3 minutes and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

- Choose 6-8 oz lobster tails for best results
- Thaw frozen tails completely in refrigerator overnight
- Internal temperature should reach 140°F for food safety
- Compound butter can be made 3 days ahead
