Ingredients
Method
- Bake frozen fries at 425°F according to package directions plus 3-5 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Make pico de gallo by combining diced tomatoes, jalapeños, onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Let rest 15-30 minutes.
- Brown ground beef completely, drain fat, add taco seasoning and water. Simmer until absorbed.
- Layer hot fries with seasoned beef and shredded cheese. Return to oven 2-3 minutes to melt cheese.
- Top with fresh pico de gallo and optional toppings like sour cream or guacamole.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy with lime wedges and hot sauce on the side.
Notes
- Use thick-cut fries for best structure under heavy toppings
- Extra cooking time ensures fries stay crispy under toppings
- Let pico de gallo rest to develop flavors and drain excess moisture
- Serve immediately for best texture contrast
